Founded in 1974 by Kenichi Ikeno, CIE celebrated it's 40th anniversary in 2014. It's a private college based in Oxford which provides a range of English language courses, including general English and IELTS prepartion, all year round as well as summer programmes.

CIE is accredited by the British Council and the Independent Schools Inspectorate and prides itself in on having low staff turnover and high quality atmosphere. It regularly recruits for well qualified teachers in all subjects.
