The School of English as a Second Language at George Brown College has been delivering ESL programming for over 30 years, and we have been training ESL instructors since 1974. Our work in this field is well respected and recognized, both locally and internationally. The Language Studies Department is an active member in CSLP (Council of Second Language Programs in Canada).

UTS:INSEARCH has been delivering CELTA courses since 1992. By choosing to do your CELTA with us you will be working with trainers highly regarded in their field with qualifications including Masters Degrees in Linguistics, TESOL or Adult Education as well as the Cambridge DELTA (Diploma in English Language Training to Adults). The CELTA program at UTS:INSEARCH also provides a pathway to further postgraduate studies at UTS. A preference is always given to our own CELTA graduates for teaching positions at UTS:INSEARCH and in our off-shore centres.
