Teach in Thailand - May 2017

Teach in Thailand - May 2017

Are you interested in teaching in Thailand? Echo English is currently recruiting English teachers to work in schools throughout the country. No experience is necessary, you’ll just need a Bachelor degree and an open mind! This is a great opportunity to travel and learn about a new culture, while getting paid for it.

We have April/May 2017 start dates, but we're also happy to discuss start dates that are more convenient for you.

As an English teacher in a school in Thailand, you’ll be responsible for planning fun and interactive lessons, with games and activities, marking assessments, and participating in cultural events. This isn’t your average job! Teachers in Thailand are highly respected, and you’ll have a warm welcome into Thai culture.

Teaching English in Thailand is a rewarding experience, an opportunity for you to learn about a new culture, travel and make a huge difference in the students’ lives.

Job description and working hours:

As an English teacher, you’ll be working Monday to Friday, and at the school for the typical school hours – usually from 7.30am to 4pm. Teachers have a maximum of 24 teaching hours per week, and any hours outside of the classroom can be spent lesson planning, marking assessments and relaxing with the other teachers – and eating! Thai teachers will always be offering you different fruits and food to try!

Thai schools and locations:

Echo English work with schools all over Thailand. Class sizes range from 20 – 50 students in a class, with the average being 30 per class. Thai students show a high level of respect to their teachers.

As this is a new experience for you, Echo English will be holding an induction for successful applicants to meet and get to know the company, and get to know other teachers who will also be working in Thailand.

Induction + guaranteed job (free!)

The one day induction is held in Bangkok, and gives you an opportunity to meet the friendly team at Echo English, hear more about our experiences of living and working in Thailand and we’ll tell you more about what to expect from your placement.

We’ll also be giving you advice and support on getting to your school, accommodation, and answer any

questions you have. This is an excellent opportunity for our new teachers to get to know each other before the start of term.

The induction is held on May 11th, 2017 and teaching positions are for one term (approximately 5 months) with the option to renew.

If you’re ready for a new challenge, learn new skills and embrace a new culture, we’d love to hear from you!
